About Daniel Haney
Born and raised in South Philadelphia, I attended Temple University, for Athletic Training within the kinesiology department from 1999-2003, where I acquired at Bachelor of Science. Upon graduation I worked briefly at St. Joseph's Preparatory School in 2004. Later that year I developed thyroid cancer and needed a more predictable employment opportunity, and was fortunate enough to be hired though the Temple University Health System where I am still currently employed. I enjoy time with family and friends, I practice and teach Brazilian Jiu jitsu and judo (where I hold a 2nd degree black belt and green belt respectively), and am an avid cook. I am a Licensed and Certified Athletic Trainer and await taking the Certified Orthopedic Technologist examination.

Highly experienced in working with various orthopedic sub-specialties as stated in previous position at Temple, though currently 100% focused in the realm of Orthopedic Trauma. Currently licensed in the State of Pennsylvania as an Athletic trainer with NATABOC and AED/ECC certifications. Assisted and well versed the implementation and continued use (since Oct. 2011) of the EPIC (EHR). Very experienced in orthopedic casting and bracing. Assisting in proper scheduling of outpatient appointments and surgeries; ICD 10 and CPT coding as well as many other operational functions of a busy orthopedic office. Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. History of inventory and overall care of the Temple 5OBP office. Strong interpersonal communication between physicians, patients, administration, and other healthcare coordinators. Currently, office assistant to the Direct of Orthopedic Trauma and currently looking to advance my role in the use in the use of EPIC EMR.
