About Daniel Hanley
During my time working at CommScope/Arris I have been a front-end developer, lab manager, source control owner, deployed containerized applications and mentor junior engineers. • As a front-end developer I built a command line interface in a ClearCase repository using c++ to include parameter/execution checking, helpful feed back for the next node and sent data to the application to be provisioned • Running the lab for my team allowed me to learn about Linux, networking and server to server communication/file transfer • For source control I use Bit Bucket to put multiple applications into git repositories to increase continuous integration and put an application into a docker repository for an easy deployment method. • Mentoring junior developers help me develop leadership, active listening and to create a positive environment for questions to be asked without judgment. These skills allowed junior developers to develop faster which lead to a higher quality product. While attending Kennesaw State University for a bachelor degree in Software Engineering I worked at Pegasystems as a Technical Support Engineer Intern. This internship allowed me to grow technically and non-technically which I used to communicate technical solutions between clients and the developers. Before college I was in United States Army as a Cavalry Scout. As a Cavalry Scout I got the opportunity to be a EWO (Electronic Warfare Officer), SUAV (small unmanned air vehicle) operator and a team leader.

Engineering Intern
As a Technical Support Engineer Intern I communicated with customers' developers about issues with the product which provides automation for various applications . After communicating with the developers about the issue I would establish the level of support that was required to resolve the issue. At level one I would resolve the issue by showing the customer the way the product was indented to be implemented. Level two of support would require creating alternative methods to find a solution since the product was not capable of the developers requirements. Often times at this level the issue would require programming methods to meet the requirements. Level three required gathering information about the client side so we could adapt and change the product in a future build to meet the requirements. Level three often required a large change to the product. To establish the level of support that was required I used Outlook, Skype For Business messaging, and WebEx for screen sharing phone conferences.
