In this position I work with new and experienced CNC machine operators developing their skills on the machines. I also work with developing high school Youth Apprentices that come into the company, partake in Safety training during new hire orientations, and work with some Excel and SharePoint projects to help management view daily productivity.

During this time I had Team Lead in a few departments from CNC to Welding and Brake Press. I had managed the people, process and parts that flowed through the departments. I also took on a 6 month Lean Internship within the company developing my lean skills.

I started off in assembly catching on to what I was shown rather quickly and pushing to learn more. I applied for an assembly team leader which I was not chosen because I was not here long enough. After 6-8 months in assembly I learned that there was openings in the CNC machining department of which I had some knowledge and talking with management I was given a chance and upon proving myself I was offered a position as a machine operator. I had run machines for approximately 6 months when we were losing our technician, so I was chosen to fill in for that position and learned how to setup numerous machines in a short amount of time. During this time of being a machine operator and technician I was starting to fill in and build interest as a team lead, of which I had applied for and gotten the position in 2012.
