Radiation Shielding Design, Manufacture and Installation | Linear Accelerators and Proton Therapy I have over 35 years of experience in architectural design and construction. The last 2 decades have been dedicated to radiation shielding design, manufacture or installation of more than 300 radiation oncology treatment rooms, throughout a dozen countries worldwide. These projects have offered the opportunity to explore and solve nearly every conceivable design and construction challenge. As a result, I have developed an arsenal of solutions and a keen understanding of the process and communication required to integrate the various teams to successfully bring a project from concept to reality.Recognized for this diverse expertise, I am a valuable resource to architects, engineers, physicists, owners and contractors. Fluent in all aspects of radiation shielding for treatment rooms from schematic design, MEP coordination, material selection, I am often called upon to determine the best solution to fit the project, budget and schedule. This includes assessing site conditions, material costs, methods of installation and drawing on an unsurpassed experience with pre-cast modular shielding and high density concrete systems (ShieldBLOCK and DenseCRETE).
