Daniel Heagerty led project and strategic planning efforts in water resources, river basin restoration, green infrastructure, renewable energy and biodiversity conservation for over 35 years in the western U.S. His clients included tribes, utilities, industry and all levels of government. He helped form start-up companies in renewable energy and software-as-a-service for stormwater and ecosystem markets. He served on state, regional and industry boards and committees concerning water resources, renewable energy and ecosystem restoration and conservation. He served as Board Chairman for The Nature Conservancy/Oregon Chapter; the Oregon Zoo; and for seven years the State of Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB). He has also served on the boards for the Oregon Business Association, the Oregon Water Trust, Illahee Institute of the Northwest, Caldera Arts (for under served youth), and public environmental education. He directed national efforts to develop ecosystem market exchanges for an NGO. Mr Heagerty headed the Public Trust Water Project (www.publictrustwater) is Director of the Protect Granite Chief Wilderness Project (www.protectgranitechief) and is operations manager for Generation: Our Climate.
