During my part-time work at Heavin’s Topline I gained valuable experience in customer service, product knowledge, and handling transactions. It was a great opportunity to learn about different electronics, hardware and interact with customers. Transitioning from part-time to full-time at the store was a significant step for me. It allowed me to deepen my product knowledge, enhance my customer service skills, and take on more responsibilities in the shop. The experience gained during this progression was invaluable in broadening my expertise in electronics, hardware and serving customers effectively. Transitioning to DPD as a warehouse operative marked a new chapter where I honed my organizational skills, efficiency in handling parcels, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. My experience at DPD allowed me to thrive in logistics, contributing to the smooth operation of the warehouse. Embarking on the logistics associate apprenticeship was a pivotal step where I deepened my understanding of supply chain management, refined my problem-solving skills, and gained hands-on experience in optimizing logistical processes. This apprenticeship at DPD provided a solid foundation for my career in logistics, equipping me with valuable knowledge and expertise in the field. Transitioning to the Linehaul department at DPD was a significant move where I expanded my knowledge of transportation logistics, improved my coordination skills, and gained experience in managing larger-scale operations. Working in Linehaul allowed me to delve deeper into the intricacies of freight movement and enhance my ability to ensure timely deliveries. Returning to Topline Heavins my family business and now handling goods in and warehouse work, involves managing inventory, receiving shipments, organizing stock, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This role allows me to utilize my logistics expertise while contributing to the smooth functioning of the store's supply chain.
