I have been a Community Safety Officer (Proctor) at the University of California, Santa Cruz since 2020.Outside of my traditional workspace, my personal goal is to complete direction on my first two independent film projects, Neurosphere (short surreal concept film) and Cleanse (feature-length drama). Film writing and directing, from an organizational leadership perspective, is my passion. These projects are creative, collaborative, and focused on inspirational content. They progress in tandem with my daily life!I previously managed Corporate Security Operations at the Santa Cruz Seaside Company & Beach Boardwalk, where I founded and oversaw our Investigations and Loss Prevention (LP) teams. I introduced, developed, and implemented the Investigations and LP programs, which have each become integral components of the company's business operations. Each program provides pathways for preventing loss and recovering significant restitution in cases where damages went previously uncollected. Following my 8 years managing the Investigations & LP Units, I returned to our Patrol Division and focused on improving our Corporate Security Operations group, which provides armed uniformed protection of corporate assets, regular liaison and training relationships with law enforcement, risk analysis & assessments, and ensures the physical safety and security of our guests, employees, vendors and contractors. I also functioned as the company's Corporate Security liaison with Federal law enforcement, to include my ongoing role as an Infrastructure Liaison Officer (ILO) with the FBI's InfraGard program and membership with the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC) in San Francisco. I continue to maintain these certifications and memberships, in conjunction with my current professional duties, beyond my previous employment with the Boardwalk.
