Duties included analyzing key market royalty trends, communicating with foreign PRO’s, and maintaining the international royalty payment database. The newly mined data streams included international concert dates, setlist information, top charting works, and song ID’s from online databases. These new data streams proved to be vital and allowed the team to extract more value from international royalties.• Used NLP (Natural Language Processing) to expedite the fuzzy matching algorithms for song matching. • Advocated successfully to make the Pandas package the primary working tool of the department to allow for faster analyses. This package replaced the less powerful Excel and prepackaged BI tool. • Became the main line of communication with foreign PRO’s due to language abilities. Part of my role working with the company founder for www.mathisasport was to design and program many randomly generated calculus problem sets. I used both Python and Sage, which is a mathematics extension.
