Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in product management within the software industry. Leading software projects for groups like: New York State Department of Health, United States Senate, United States House of Representatives, IBM, and Mastercard International. During these projects, I led multiple teams from bid/sales/contract, initial analysis, design through development and support. My teams ensured that our products met both user needs and business objectives.Throughout my 15 years of employment with the software development company ComputerWorks, I directly provided sales, development, implementation, training, product customization, database administration, and customer support for these clients, as well as overseeing the work of others members of the technical team.Specifically, as General Manager at ComputerWorks, I was responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the company’s contractual agreements with the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. I managed the submission of requested bid proposals, conducted contract negotiations, provided product development and customer support as well as developing internal policies and procedures and providing guidance through several software version updates of the product.After a successful career with ComputerWorks, I took advantage of an entrepreneurial opportunity as the owner and operator of a seasonal resort business. This endeavor challenged me to strengthen my existing skills, expand the application of technology across a new venue, and also allowed me the opportunity to develop an even broader and diverse range of skills working closely with the public. Each aspect of the operations of this endeavor, including payroll, human resources, and network infrastructure was managed by me and done so with programs that I created tailored to the task. I developed streamlined systems for all operations of the Bear’s Den resort, and grew the business over the course of the nine years. Simultaneous to owning and operating the Bear’s Den resort, I was the Information Technology Manager at West Mountain Ski area. Not only did this position allow me to work with the most current technologies, it also gives me the opportunity to manage a staff responsible for implementing and maintaining mission critical software which ran everything from ticket sales to retail at a well-known ski areas in the Adirondack Mountains.
