Working with dB attenuation I got to work on the UKs power network system installing noise enclosure and screens. Noise enclosures was a well designed steel frame and acoustic panels that was weather proofed and painted with the aime to reduce the noise of transformers on powerstations all around the UK l. My Job roll was to run a team of fitters to construct the noise enclosures or the screens. I had full responsibility for completing permits, daily briefings, SHE, point of work risk assessments, risk assessment amendments, following program of works and being a competent person to receive live safety documents for several power network providers such as National grid NSI8 full, Dong energy, Hitachi ABB, GE Grid solutions and SSE.
