Biologist from the National University of Colombia, with an emphasis on ecology and conservation. He has a Master's Degree in Landscape Ecology and Nature Conservation from the University of Greifswald, Germany. Daniel possesses experience in the formulation and implementation of planning instruments in protected areas and strategic ecosystems (forests, páramos, and wetlands), ecosystem services assessment, and samplings of fauna and flora. With knowledge in geographic information systems, capacity, and criteria for data analysis and formulation of strategies aimed at the conservation and restoration of ecosystems, he can design and implement Nature-based solutions projects that result in positive impacts on biodiversity.Currently, he is working on the development and implementation of carbon-based projects, focusing on AFOLU - REDD+, Wetland Restauration Conservation (WRC), and Climate, Community and Biodiversity (CCB). He possesses knowledge about the Carbon Project Development Cycle including the Validation, Verification, and Auditing process.
