I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow in Industrial Mathematics at the University of Birmingham. My position involves working together with industry partners to develop solutions to problems across a variety of areas including space utilization, heating system sensor optimization, and allocation tasks within logistics scenarios. My interests lie in the interdisciplinary application and innovation of optimization and machine learning technologies and on context-driven development. For example, I have previously worked with plant scientists developing code for object recognition from microscopy data streams and with psychologists for optimizing classifiers for mental health conditions. My PhD study occurred jointly at the University of Birmingham and University of Melbourne studying evolutionary algorithms for dynamic multi-objective optimization (DMO) problems, providing solutions for reproducibility in DMO and realistic combinatorial DMO instances.
