Working for Sainsbury’s Argos Group as a Business Analyst and Test lead hybrid, has allowed me to touch upon every system within the business. My duty is to maintain a full understanding of how each area works, including new updates to systems, refining existing processes and creating new ways of working. I’m also managing all the testing for the Habitat Business, and work on a variety of projects that has me working closely with systems architects, stakeholders and heads of department to better understand how the business can be improved.

This role required me to have a keen eye for detail, performing user acceptance testing for two websites Homebase and Bunnings. I needed to test a variety of emails, new components added, new software platforms and manage stakeholder requirements, whilst multitasking new implementations and checking the existing. The thorough assessments I performed had a critical impact on the business as they directly involve looking at the source code, reporting potential issues within Jira, following up on existing issues, and refining the testing process.

The If Festival

Managed the acoustic bar, children's festival, and Centre:MK events always ensuring an incredible and relaxed atmosphere that provided management challenges to overcome. Organising my staff in conjunction with performance times, bar rotations and general security was difficult but a welcome challenge.

Began work as a Christmas temp and worked my way up to a senior role within the first year. Achieved a vocational qualification that proves customer service was outstanding when assessed by the managers. Working with a wide variety of people and business techniques built enough confidence to pursue a more professional career.Responsibilities included driving sales and acquisition of store accounts, maintaining customer product visuals, attending daily corporate meetings.
