Regional Director supporting the GE account. Dan’s region consists of ~5MM sqft of commercial and industrial space across Canada and the Western U.S. where he was responsible for strategic and operational functions necessary to support service delivery, account administration, process and standards, sourcing, finance, safety, technology, and sustainability.

Led team of 30+ managers, stationary engineers, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and painters, accountable for the operation and maintenance of 1.6 million square foot multi-purpose critical facility located on a 180 acre campus which includes: research laboratories, pilot plants, data center, call center business, conference center, office space, and cafeteria services. Combined Heat and Power plant: Mars90 natural gas turbine, 9.5MW generator w/HRSG, high pressure steam plant, 34.5 kV - 13.8 kV electrical distribution, 8000 ton cooling plant, and process wastewater treatment plant.

Developed team responsible for improving preventative/predictive maintenance program leading to a reduction in volume of corrective maintenance from avg. of 750 work orders/mo. in 2010 to 275 work orders/mo. in 2014 by reevaluating time/condition based maintenance strategy, improving critical equipment maintenance and reprioritizing noncritical equipment on cost/benefit. Currently, performing more planned maintenance than reactive maintenance.• Energy Optimization Team member responsible for the development and execution of energy conservation measures resulting in $280K YOY savings by implementing, low cost, schedule/set-back programming and advanced coil cleaning technologies.• Implemented plan for cooling tower evaporation credits resulting in 16MM gallon/yr. sewer charge reduction and $40K YOY cost avoidance.• Responsible for contractor management and performance reviews to improve service.• Planning Team member responsible for ~$16MM capital & expense planning; delivered within 5% of budget.• Realized $600K in operational savings/cost avoidance by engaging team members in quarterly “creative challenges” focusing on safety, operating efficiencies, fiscal responsibility, and innovation.• Improved plant heat exchanger cooling process which led to 10MM gallon/yr. reduction of city water usage resulting in 94% decrease in quench flow rates and $46K YOY savings by converting constant flow quench to thermostatic operation. • Improved Operations client satisfaction rating from 80.1% to 91.4% over 18 month period.• Annual Site Shut-down/Turn-around Coordinator.
