Elastic Container RegistryI was brought into the container registry team to improve the speed, operational posture, and reduce cost. Over the past year, I have made an extensive study and benchmarks of the bottlenecks and made proposals to improve on them. I have also implemented architectural changes which reduced the frontend operational costs by 50%.I have also been involved in a program to train software developers in applying a more focused response to troubleshooting and encouraging deep diving with an eye toward improving the customer experience

CloudfrontCloudfront is a large content delivery network. As a member of this team, I was responsible for architecting the Cloudfront’s various points of presence all over the world. This included interfacing with the service teams for their requirements, networking for what they could provide, and designing future generation platforms. Notable projects include Cloudfront’s support for IPv6, large scale DNS improvements, provisioning systems based on immutable images and statelessness, and early iterations of the Lambda@Edge service. I was also involved in training up new engineers and driving operational improvements and doing the cross-functional deep dives involving performance, hardware, kernel, and networkingLanguages used were mostly Bash, Perl, Python, some C, and a little bit of assembly. Technologies varied according to the needs but various home-grown container and virtualization applications were most often referenced

Team lead for builds and source code management: we are responsible for building, deploying and maintaining the build servers cloud and the high availability of the source code repositories. We are constantly improving our build framework to ensure it builds quickly and repeatably and to allow developers to quickly troubleshoot issues in a shift-left initiative inspired by modern DevOps procedures

Involved in the support of a hundred linux servers scattered across the globe and the direct customer relations as a facilitator between them and the developers. As a system expert I was particularly involved in product definitions and low level system engineering and architecture, including the cloud backend that permitted easy customer connectivitylater I was tapped for embedded firmwares and automated manufacturing validation tests

Responsible for overseeing over 30 linux servers, some mixed-version Windows servers (NT4/2000/2003) and all the Windows desktops, including all of the associated networking and monitoring. I was also in charge of the overall network architecture spanning multiple cities and technologies
