Ensuring Network Rail sign-off of designs and method statements in accordance with the Asset Protection Agreement on the £400million Battersea Power Station Redevelopment Phase 1. Programming of submissions using tracker on Microsoft Excel. Signing off Forms 2 and 3 as CRE (Construction) with reference to NR/L2/CIV/003 and NR/L2/INI/02009 in accordance with the Asset Protection Engineers requirements. Liaison with subcontractors to ensure compliance with the Network Rail requirements.

Managing a team carrying out off track repairs to structures and attendance at faults. Liaison with the RfL Asset Engineer to scope work and make changes where applicable. Planning of works including making a programme and production of method statements and risk assessments. Booking of worksites in possessions and pricing of Service Managers Instructions. Supervision of subcontractors during blockade installing temporary works in the form of a high level walkway to allow repairs to retaining wall.

Also responsible for preliminary design of structural alternatives for the approach ramps as part of a Carillion tender for the new Multi-Storey Car Park adjacent to T2A. Drainage design including SUDS for the Eastchurch Road project. Produced site clearance drawings.

North London Line - Chalk Farm - London

Work Package 2 - Signalling Enabling WorksManaged and supervised trial pits works carried out for around 40 signal bases based on signal sighting form locations to check for clashes with buried services and foundations. Site engineer for installation of screwpiles for signals; setting out and dealing with problems such as clashes with overhead line equipment.Also site engineer for the construction of Principal Supply Point (PSP) bases, Under Road Crossing (URX) and Re-locatable Equipment Building (REB) bases including auxiliary items to these such as troughing runs and fencing. This involved planning and setting out works, identifying design changes and liaising with the client and designer to deal with site problems.Work Package 2 - Permanent WayAssisted as a site engineer where platform extensions had taken place and tamping works were needed to meet the design. Also assisted in a switch and crossing installation involving setting out of the panels and also tamping works.Temporary Works Assistant Produced temporary works design briefs for overhead line equipment base excavations, lift pit excavations, hoardings and bridge wingwall formworks.Also carried out trial pit based ground investigations, taking shear vane values and classifying soil types at a number of locations where temporary works such as excavations, crane pads and piling platforms were needed and the temporary works designer needed near surface soils data.

A £166 million project to create a printworks for News International Newspapers. Site engineer overseeing works that were completed including temporary works, steel erection and external works sections.

Project Evergreen 2 - Saunderton

Site engineer on Project Evergreen 2, a £80 million scheme to upgrade the signalling on the lines between London Marylebone and Bicester. Involved with safety documentation and also set out sites (for UTX's, LOC bases and troughing runs), carried out dilapidation surveys and inspected work with the client before handover. Carried out geotechnical testing to determine where screw piles might be suitable for signal foundations.

Aylesbury

Site engineer surveying the tracks, setting out and also completing safety related documentation such as work plans renewals to the track on the Marylebone to Birmingham and Aylesbury lines.
