I was a Remote Graphic Designer for GreenLayer Sports where I handled their production art and mockups on a daily basis. This included designing for print and creating mockups for products. I used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design in this position, but most of my time was spent using Adobe Illustrator.

Responsible for all facets of Screen Printing production.-Meet daily, weekly and monthly production goals, as well as solving operational issues, trouble shooting production problems and maintaining quality.-Manage shop employees individual production schedules, assign print jobs to press ensuring print deadlines are met, manage and update daily production schedules, maintain and manage production spec sheets and notes.-Work with team to help manage all press setup, job operations & job maintenance.-Manage and maintain high standards of quality including print detail, proper curing, design, print quality and color accuracy.-Research and develop print techniques, products, equipment and suppliers.-Responsible for all interviewing and hiring of new shop employees and train new employees on all screen printing procedures. -Coordinate with warehouse manager, shipping manager, customer service reps and update production schedule to manage production times.-Develop pricing strategies, negotiate contract pricing with other companies, outsource embroidery jobs, work with local embroidery shops, dye sublimation shops and print shops to satisfy all parties involved.-Facilitate weekly print schedules while working with and providing consulting for Customer Service Reps, Race Directors and Customers to schedule and print jobs in ways that fill their individual needs.-Calculate and submit weekly payroll to accountants and payroll company.-Responsible for all ordering of supplies.-Responsible for separating and outputting all color separations. -Approve and sign off on all art and test prints before production begins to control quality and maintain customer specifications of print locations, Pantone color matching, and overall look and feel of garments. -Help employees register, operate and maintain automatic and manual screen printing presses.-Use Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Outlook, Word, etc.-Proficient in both Mac and PC software platforms.

I did all graphic design for over 3 years for the screen printing department using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I also was responsible for all screen printing duties including designing all art, separating all colors for pre-press production, printing directly on textiles, determining best practices for printing depending on apparel materials and inks. I also saw projects through from their initial concept to final product. I opened the shop daily and was trusted with keys to the business.

The system tripled their production of usable screens per day while minimizing the amount of harmful chemicals in the air, throughout the work area and saving the company thousands of dollars per year.
