Here are some examples of my experience as a CAM engineerLockheed Martin was one customer that I helped levied discrepancies with their Gerber data to ensure that the procurement documentation and supplied data met the required military qualification for production. The supplied drill file was incorrect against the fabrication drawing and the Gerber data. I figured out the correct drill sizes to corresponding copper lands that sufficed the minimal requirement for MIL Spec 55110 classification. This project was time sensitive for completion; so instead of telling them what is wrong with their drill file; I created a remedy for them to approve just to get it released to production. The solution to this issue passed through the testing/qualification for on time completion and delivery of their product. As a CAM engineer; one of my many responsibilities is to aid the production floor from technical issues to quick fixes to keep production flowing. There is no such thing as a small anomaly, any oversight can cost the company extra money to either expedite the shipping on a late order to scrapping the job and pay for loss of manufacturing time and material. From my experience; all it takes is one error to bottle neck the production floor. Feed back is critical, that is why I always openly communicate to the production floor to learn and prevent any potential issues from reoccurring.Working with customers is one thing that always brings value to anywhere you work. I personally worked with the engineering department at MIT Lincoln Laboratories to help them set up their data to our manufacturing capabilities. There were some growing pains with the customer at first, but through due diligence and time I started to see them tune their material requirements, data, and documentation to what we need with no technical issues. I used this customer as a template for new business opportunities just to show how our facility can confidently produce flawless producto
