R.E.C.O.N. is a research mentorship organization at the University of Cincinnati that pairs up students seeking research experience with advanced students that currently hold research positions in order to better prepare them for research contributions and professional development at an undergraduate level.

-Experience assisting on multiple research projects within the center on war veterans diagnosed with or suspected of PTSD. -Complete access to data files and patient records for clinical and research purposes. -Lead investigator on a research poster focusing on peritraumatic dissociation as a predictor of PTSD symptom severity, expected to be presented at the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies Conference in November 2015 as well as the Undergraduate Research Conference at the University of Cincinnati in April 2015. -Acquiring valuable knowledge through working with the researchers and clinicians about current issues/studies relating to PTSD as well as other trauma related psychological conditions.

Independently provided various health promotion, care coordination, and social support services to clients I was assigned to. Responsible for driving g to the client’s homes to assess their social work case on a weekly basis. Coordinated care and ensured access to services (e.g., medical, mental health, legal); patient record keeping and documentation; Certified in Mental Health First Aid through the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
