I worked as an Automation Professional at Intuitive Engineering Solutions Ltd since 2016. My main role was to design, build and install automation hardware, for DeltaV and legacy PROVOX DCS systems. I also undertake smaller relay and PLC control panel projects. I was responsible for all aspects of hardware projects. Which include compiling the initial quote, CAD, managing change requests, purchasing, building, shipping, site installation and commissioning. I also wrote many technical documents in my work including, design specifications, test plans, loop drawings, cable size calculations, and descriptive system documents for hazardous areas.To further my development, I am formally trained in AUTOCAD, First Aid, Ladder Safety, Cyber Security, PLC programming, along with being COMPEX EX12A & EX12B certified. I also hold City and Guilds 17th and 18th edition certificates. During my times at Intuitive Engineering I have also undergone in house training in DeltaV, ISA88 standard, Microsoft server installation and DeltaV System virtualisation. In addition, I regularly attend conferences for new product launches, Functional Safety and ATEX.

From 2008 to 2015 I was employed by LiveWire, Birchwood Leisure and Tennis Centre. My roles include, monitoring health and safety for staff and customers, record keeping, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance of the facility, reception work and bar tending. I have also attended several training courses, to further develop my skills needed for the job. These include:• FAA level 2 Award in Emergency first aid at work (Provided by Nuco training)• HABC level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (Provided by Merehall training)

In the time between College and University I undertook my Year in Industry (organised by the Engineering Development Trust). I was placed at EA Technology, in the Overhead Lines team, for 13 months. In this time my main project was to modernise a lightning location system used to detect lightning strikes around the UK and Ireland. During my main project, I also undertook several smaller projects and duties. These included over head line inspections and building test rigs, to measure the effects on a low voltage cable when subjected to high temperature. Since my Year in Industry placement I have also returned to EA Technology for a further 10 week summer placement in 2012, a 17 week placement in 2013 and 13 weeks in 2014. On my 2014 placement I did not work in the same department as I had done in the past but for the New Technologies team. This involved working on the latest cutting edge instruments that EA Technology where preparing to launch. This too involved designing and setting up high voltage and current test rigs.I have also attended several key workshops provided by the Year in Industry and EA Technology. These include, lean manufacturing techniques, team building, project management, negotiation and time management.
