Continuous improvement and project management for the M&S transport network.

Over the past four years I have created and developed a very efficient operation that has continually improved year on year gaining the trust of key stake holders within development, maintain the chain, publications, home delivery and visual merchandise. This trust has enabled me to challenge the normal operational practices and develop more efficient and cost effective solutions for the customer. Key responsibilities within this role include;• Completion of 100+ large scale projects within development, maintain the chain, publications, home delivery and visual merchandise achieving no less than 97% on time delivery.• Created and executed the largest visual merchandise peak Christmas outbound and returns programme to date. • Successful transition of Westbridge furniture trucking from Wincanton to DHL.• Remote management of numerous customer suppliers’ transport accounts. • Completion of ongoing 3rd party M&S store closure programme.• Reviewing current processes and implementing change in line with key stake holders requirements.• Implementation of the site HSMS (Health and safety management system).• Monitor and manage the site O ’License achieving 100% on the 2018 fleet engineering audit.• Integration and management of DHL sub contraction centre of excellence into the Sheffield operation.• Creation of courier and haulier rate calculator and matrix.• Development of scheduling tools to make peak planning more efficient and cost effective.• EOS facilitator.• Budget planning and building.• Ensuring customer service levels are continually achieved.• Analyse, maintain and develop performance, financial and KPI reporting tools.

Aided in the successful start-up of the Sheffield DC operation managing store development, home delivery, publications, maintain the chain and visual merchandise. The role was very demanding and excellent problem solving skills were required to achieve the customers’ requirements. The ability to adapt to the ever changing operation to ensure the customers’ expectations were met and exceeded was essential. Primarily working with sub-contractors and specialist equipment, exceptional planning and effective communication was key to the success of the operation.

Tradeteam is the UK's largest independent drinks logistics provider, as with MFI the position expects nothing but high standards and a flexible attitude is critical due the ever changing environment. High levels of responsibility were required due to the size of the workforce and the importance of meeting critical time scales set by the customer. Attention to detail was crucial in achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction. I was responsible for a team of 56+ colleagues and 16+ agency operatives.

High levels of responsibility were required due to the size of the workforce and the importance of meeting critical time scales set by the customer. Attention to detail was crucial in achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction. I was responsible for a team of 56+ colleagues and 16+ agency operatives.

I aided in the implementation of a new department within the O2 Refurbish Department whilst on secondment.

This was an extremely large scale start up with £71 Million being invested by MFI with a NDC standing at 700,000ft2. The position expected nothing but high standards and a flexible attitude was crucial to coincide with the continual changes within the Operation due to customer requirements. The role required high levels of responsibility due to the large workforce, ensuring crucial deadlines set by MFI were met to continue Customer Satisfaction. I also completed a two month secondment to the O2 Contract, Normanton to aid in the start-up of a new department.I was responsible for a team of 120+ colleagues, seven first line managers and 4 team leaders when standing in as acting shift manager. Unfortunately this position was made redundant due to company folding.

This was a small but demanding role with an operation specialising in food packaging. I was responsible for the daily running of all warehouse and transport activities. Although the operation was small the role still required high levels of responsibility due to the different functions within the one role.
