Supporting Ukrainian families fleeing from the conflict in Ukraine, providing signposting, emotional support, housing and employment guidance and support.

To proactively support the involvement of local voluntary and community sector organisations in the delivery, development and planning of health and social care services in South Gloucestershire.

Deliver a high-quality trusted service which will help people to access local activities, services and support in order to improve health and wellbeing across Bristol. This role also provides information and support to people over 50 with complex needs to enable them to access local support, social groups and activities in order to help combat social isolation.

Co-ordinate The Care Forum’s Greater Fishponds BAB Project Volunteers, including Community Champions, Community Signposters, Compassionate Friends and Steering Group Members to facilitate asset based community development and better networks for older people in the Greater Fishponds area.1. Work in partnership with the wider BAB projects and providers of BAB services to achieve BAB overall aims and outcomes.2. Work with staff at The Care Forum to identify opportunities for effective joint work across a range of TCF projects.

To develop and implement an awareness-raising and engaging action plan to promote the Well Aware service in order to improve the health and wellbeing of the community of Bristol and its surrounding areas. This includes working with the public and key stakeholders in the community, public and private sectors. Additionally I provide the outreach, development and training functions for Well Aware by co-managing volunteers within the care sector. Also I assist with the publicity for and marketing of Well Aware, as appropriate for audiences with different communication needs.

As a Health Promotion Specialist I was responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of a public health work programme on particular topics, issues and settings for the Public Health Directorate. This involved working across the Unitary Authority and Primary Care Trust areas in partnership with local agencies. My main duties included supporting GP Practices to run their own Stop Smoking Service within their Primary Care setting by training and mentoring health professionals to become Stop Smoking Practitioners. Additionally I supported a wide variety of clients from the general public to become ‘smokefree’; this was done by running groups and 1 to 1 clinics around the city of Bristol.

My main role was supporting the Public Health Transition project, where I provided integral support to the overall project manager, as well as various other external stakeholders involved in regard to many different aspects, such as IT, finance, accommodation and HR issues.

Whilst studying for an NVQ in Business Administration I provided business support to the Bristol Public Health Department of NHS Bristol by managing small budgets, solving any issues regarding finance and undertaking administrative duties. Additionally I would provide PA support to the Director of Public Health.
