This role was a 100 hour internship at the University of Sheffield as a Fundraising Assistant working within the Campaign's and Alumni department to raise awareness of the Big Walk and event designed to raise money for Genetic Disease Research.Part of my role included conducting interviews and writing articles on participants who have a personal link to genetic diseases.I also used social media to raise awareness of the event and to encourage donations. I wrote a press release on the event to further raise awareness. I also carried out essential event preparation and I was part of a team ensuring the smooth running of the event.
