Solar Victoria is a standalone entity with DELWP, tasked with the delivery of the Victorian Government’s $1.3bn Solar Homes Rebate package. The organisation was initially set up within Sustainability Victoria, before transitioning to DELWP. My current role of Escalations and Operational Improvements Officer primarily involves:• Establishing relationships with businesses in the Victorian solar industry to mitigate risks and manage the entity’s reputation with external stakeholders• Resolving complex cases escalated to Solar Victoria through Ministerial and Electorate Offices• Crafting formal written responses to direct questions posed by MPs on behalf of their constituents• Producing reports on organisational performance at the request of the Executive Leadership Team• Completing Freedom of Information Requests• User Acceptance Testing of new system functionality built to satisfy emerging business needs• Developing business processes to document enhancements to system functionality

Prior to my current role at Solar Victoria, I also acted in the capacity of Rebates Team Lead. I filled this position whilst Solar Victoria was under the portfolio of Sustainability Victoria, and after the transition to DEWLP in July 2019. My duties in this role included: • Performance management of processing staff • Analysing reports and allocating work accordingly• Daily liaison with Director of Program Delivery to help form strategy and shift operational focus at the Solar Homes Minister’s request• Consulting with organisations leading the transition of Solar Victoria from SV to DELWP • Forecasting staffing needs of the business and making suggestions to senior management

The Mental Health Review Tribunal is an independent statutory body established under the Mental Health Act 2000 and sustained under MHA2016, whose primary purpose is to review the involuntary status of persons with mental illnesses. My duties in this temporary role included:• Handle confidential applications for Examination Authority, adding new patients to the system or updating existing records• Assessing the urgency of applications and scheduling hearings accordingly • Prepare hearing materials and coordinate with MHRT Members• Receive hearing outcomes and send legal documentation to the applicant and relevant health service for the assessment to be made under the MHA 2016• Process and amend clinical reports

Whilst working as part of the Building Control Department of Auckland Council, I was responsible for the invoicing and issuing of code compliance certificates as well as others functions within this facet of the organisation. In this role, I gained valuable experience liaising with clients from both the domestic and commercial property sectors.
