Graduate of Cal Poly Pomona with a BS in Plant Science and a Minor in Pest and Disease Management. Experience in organic production, ornamental production, Pest and Weed Management. As a U.S. Army Veteran with six years of service, including two combat tours to Iraq, I have learned to quickly adapt to changes and I have gained a broader perspective of different cultures. Likewise, I have also learned to work as a team. I am very driven and a quick study. After completing my first semester at Cal Poly, I was selected to compete for the National Collegiate Landscape Competition in the area of Plant Problem Diagnosis. Prior to transferring to Cal Poly, I earned three associate degrees from Mt. San Antonio College, including an A.S. in Ornamental Horticulture, an A.S. in Plant Science and an A.S. in Integrated Pest Management. I have experience in a nursery setting, which included scouting for pests, developing treatment programs, and application of both pesticides and herbicides. I am ready to work hard and get my hands dirty. In addition to my experience in IPM, I also have extensive skills from my time in other industries, including six years of experience in sales. I know how to set sales goals, communicate products effectively, and analyze sales data to improve sales outcomes.
