My responsibilities first and foremost in the tasting room was to ensure the satisfaction of our visitors. That entailed engaging them as soon as they walked in the door, tailoring the tasting to their interests (usually an all reds tasting or all white wine tasting), and simply getting to know them. Creating lasting relationships with our customers was important this created a level of trust between a customer and the salesperson.Behind the scenes I would make sure our regular tasting room, club member tasting room, and kitchen areas, were clean and organized, as well as stocked with wine and fresh glasses every day.

As a shift lead for Blockbuster I regularly maintained our inventory, security cameras, computer systems, cash registers and safe, while managing work flows and keeping other employees motivated. This was a wonderful first step into managing a team of people while having fun talking about the newest video games and movies with customers.
