*This is a personal account and all views are my own.*I am an Associate General Counsel at Wells Fargo where I lead the cybersecurity, privacy, and data section. Prior to Wells Fargo, I served as Director & Managing Counsel, Head of the U.S. Privacy, Cybersecurity, and eDiscovery Legal Team at another large financial institution, where I oversaw a talented group of lawyers and other professionals. I also chaired the legal department's Cybersecurity Task Force and led the Pro Bono Committee.Earlier in my legal career, I served as an assistant general counsel with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), where I advised on clandestine overseas activities, including cyber operations, data handling and security, counterintelligence, and covert action authorized by the President. I also represented the CIA in state and federal courts throughout the country in civil and criminal matters involving classified information. Prior to CIA, I was an associate at a leading international law firm. Before attending law school, I was a middle school math teacher in New York City and a cohort member of the New York City Teaching Fellows, and while in law school, I worked at the Supreme Court of the United States. Beyond cybersecurity, privacy, AI, and eDiscovery, I am passionate about public service, national security, and education. I continue to maintain a TS/SCI clearance through DHS/CISA and am a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). I am based in Washington, DC.
