My name is Daniel Allaire and I am currently pursuing a Profesional Science Masters Degree in Photovoltaics. I expect to graduate in August of 2022 and am hoping to pursue a docterate degree in Mechanical Engineering following the completion of my professional science masters studies.In pursuit of this higher degree, I have been conducting research into space deployable solar photovoltaic technologies under the direction of Dr. Michael Heben, Dr. Randal Ellingson, and Dr. Brian Trease. I have worked on this research since August 2020 and hope to complete this by August 2022.I have previously achieved a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Systems. While studying at UW-Platteville, I have participated in undergraduate research focused on piezoelectric materials under the direction of Dr. Edoardo Rubino. I have even had the opportunity to present this research at the WiSys – WSTS Symposium at UW-Stout, and PCARD – Pioneer Creative activities and Research Day event at UW-Platteville. While conducting this research, I have had the chance to apply all the skills I have gained during my studies at UW-Platteville, at have submitted several project reports and research summaries.
