He oversaw its 100,000 square foot-plus downtown expansion, navigating politically polarizing anti vs pro-growth debates, obtaining tax increment financing, brownfield remediation, Community Development Block Grants, and Michigan Economic Growth Authority tax credits working with the government from local city commissions to the governor.He has provided legal counsel to some of the most significant developments in Northern Michigan. He represents numerous individuals and businesses in the development, sale, and exchange of real/personal property, and licensing and structuring of medical and recreational cannabis businesses. He also has extensive experience in tax-deferred exchanges, commercial real estate finance, tax assessments appeals, zoning, and site condominium development.
