Co-founder of the real estate company Activanza Real Estate Brokers up until mid 2021. Managing Activanza I learned the difference between being a sales agent and a business owner. As an agent your main focus is to offer the best possible service to sellers in order to get them a fair price for their property, as well a understanding your buyer's needs in order to present to them the properties that best fit their lifestyle and required characteristics. If done professionally, it is not uncommon for the buyer to purchase something very different to their initial requests.As a business owner, things are a little more complex, and you have to think of many other variables. During this time I learnt how to brand and market a business, establish national and international connections, build, manage and motivate a sales team, marketing, design, numerous websites and custom CRM, business accounting and statistics, as well as many other aspects that you don't have to worry about as a sales person. All the way from private sales to negotiating and commercializing buildings for the bank.The pandemic brought on many changes, and after 10 years, we decided it was time to move on with other individual projects.Following the close of Activanza, I founded Costa Prime Properties. After the financial crisis of 2008 hit, and real estate operations plummeted, the developer where I worked soon began to do offload staff within the company, so this is where my time with this developer came to an end.It really was actually a great opportunity that opened up for me, because after several years of experience and with some good contacts I had, I got down to work and went to speak with these contacts to offer my services as a real estate agent.I immediately started a close working relationship with a well-known real estate agency in Benidorm with a long trajectory in the business. Here I provided my services as a freelance real estate agent, for the listing of properties, customer service and closing of sales.This is where I discovered that the sale of new construction properties has nothing to do with the complexity of the operations of a real estate agency. Both have their difficulties, but in new construction you only sell what you have and have a different approach. In the sales between private sellers and buyers you have a world of opportunities that you must manage and put together all the pieces of a puzzle together in order to help your clients.After a few years as a freelance agent, I decided that it was time to establish my own company, so together with a friend and colleague also in real estate, we established Activanza Corredores Inmobiliarios.
