My role as a Commercial Lender is to provide commercial lending solutions to businesses located in Southern Illinois and Eastern Missouri. SBA loans are frequently used for: start ups, expansion plans, real estate purchases, debt restructuring, collateral shortfalls, companies with uneven cash flows, and to help companies turn denials into approvalsSBA loans work for most For-Profit businesses. The following under served industries fit in well: Bars, Restaurants, Retail, Transportation, Construction, Auto Body and Repair, Plumbing and HVAC, Medical, Chiropractic, Dental, Service Industries (Salons - Hair, Nail, Massage, etc.), Landscaping, Franchises, and Gyms. Just to name some, but there are many more.

Own and operate a small business that buys distressed real estate, fixes them up, and resells them for a profit.

Managed a group of 6 business bankers in the Saint Louis Metro East Market for 1 year, provided sales consulting to two community banking divisions in the Midwest and South Central Area of the United States for 2 years, and then was a Territory Manager for the Large Ticket Equipment Finance Group for 3 1/2 years.

Equipment Leasing position that invovled direct prospecting and working referrals from relationship managers within the bank. Over 65% of the funded business came from direct marketing efforts. While the geographic area was closely matched to that served by GE, the primary Industries served were very different - at Commerce the industries were Municipal and Health Care. Funded $22 Million of new lease business in less than two years.

Prospected for new loans and leases for capital equipment to lower middle market companies in Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois. Started with no clients, only a laptop, and a database of potential clients. GE provided top flight technology and first class access to all available market intelligence on industries served - mainly construction, transportation, manufacturing, wholesale product distribution, and food service.

Started my career as a general consumer and small business lender with Alton Banking & Trust that was purchase by MBIL in 1994 ($750 Million Community Bank located in Alton, IL- next Firstar and then finally US Bank).During my tenure with this bank I was promoted to Commercial Team Leader of several junior officers. Managed a portfolio of commercial clients that exceeded $40 Million. Still managed to fund $10 Million of new commercial and consumer loans each year.
