For as long as I can remember I've been interested in aircraft and how things work. My paternal grandfather always seemed to have an innate ability to be able to make or fix almost anything he needed, and it seems that that ideology has passed to me. anytime something I own breaks my initial reaction is to take it apart and figure out how to fix it. this problem-solving mindset has not only directed me to engineer but also got me interested in programming. An example of this is a project I recently took up is making a network-wide ad blocker at home using a raspberry pi.I also enjoy helping others to achieve their goals, Whilst at university I took part in the peer-assisted study scheme in which second and third-year students help the first-year students in understanding some of their modules and helping them to settle into life at university. I have also helped out at a homeless shelter around Christmas time helping to wrap presents for them, cleaning the sleeping areas, and just generally engaging with them in the evening and serving their breakfast in the morning.again whilst I was at uni, I joined the university air squadron which is an RAF reservist squadron for university students, due to it being a part of the RAF there is a large focus on respect, integrity, service, and excellence. Joining the UAS improved my self-confidence, leadership abilities as well as followership; it forced me to improve my time management as my workload at university increased alongside my responsibilities within the UAS whilst also working a part-time job to be able to afford living costs.
