I direct the Debut Ensemble for the Washington DC branch.

This year, my work in music curriculum development has led to the creation of two music classes (Academy Glee and a new String ensemble) for the 2016-2017 school year. The Chorus department, which only reported having 6 and 10 students the two years prior to my arrival, has 25 participants in class and 40 participants overall. This total equates to almost 6% of the school population, and a 200% increase in terms of overall participation. This has been instrumental to adding the music program's 2nd, full-time faculty member and a part-time Choral Associate for the 2016-2017 school year. Furthermore, due to my external recruitment procedures, the Chorus and Orchestra yielded 70% of its accepted applicants who marked music as an interest. More specifically, of the chorus department's 12 Highest Priority applicants, 50% percent of them accepted their offers.

Worked at Olympia High School from January of 2002, to May of 2015. During his tenure, the Choral Department consistently received Superior ratings at District and State Level Choral Festivals. Groups under his direction were invited to perform at the State Music Educator's Conference(2012), the State America Choral Director's Conference(2007 and 2009) and the NAACP National Conference(2013). Over 30 of his students are involved in music as a profession.

Serving under the watchful eye of Dr. Jeffery Redding, I was in charge of leading sectionals, and large rehearsals in his absence. I also founded the Garden Singers, an auditioned ensemble that was created from within the large the Community group.
