About Daniel Janczewski

Hey ;)My name is Daniel, and I'm Technical UI/UX Designer. Currently, because of my work background, I'm specializing mostly in implementation of User Interface. My implementation experience comes mostly from working with Liquid Engine - in-house 11bit game engine, Unity and most recently Unreal Engine. In work, my most favourite aspect of UI Design is animation and narrative aspects of user interface. Bringing *life* to the user interface is a moment I eagerly anticipate within each project. Currently, I try to expand my material and VFX skills, with focus on usage in user interface, because of the possibilities that it gives while working in the Unreal Engine.I wanted to work in gamedev since I was little. Since my father showed me Diablo 2, I have played many classic RPG games with him. Later, in my adult life I continued my passion for video games, and I am an avid gamer to this day. My whole education process was planned with gamedev in mind, with graphic chosen as a desired point of entry to start my journey with video game developement.Achievements most important for me:- Animating Interface in Frostpunk 1 and its DLCs- Narrative design od building panels in Frostpunk: The Last Autumn- Winning a booth at Poznan Game Arena in Indie Zone, as a reward for ZTGK in Lodz- Creating UX team at 11bit studiosMy favourite games:- Diablo 2 - Dark Souls- Wiedźmin- Gothic- Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War- NieR: Automata

I was also working on porting Frostpunk to consoles, co-operating closely with Crunching Koalas studio. We ported the game to PS4 and Xbox One, where I was also one of the people redesigning all UI Panels and animating them.After the development cycle of Frostpunk got close to an end, I was responsible for coordinating part of the team responsible for the company game engine - I was designing and documenting tools for Implementation of the UI, working closely with engine programmers.
