Dual reporting role including responsibilities for the global reference labs finance team and the global labs information management systems team. In this role I lead the teams supporting the largest global veterinary reference lab network. From a finance perspective, our labs business is approaching large cap status as we grow into a global powerhouse. Our finance teams play an integral role in driving strong sales growth and supporting the dynamic innovation engine that is the hallmark of IDEXX. On the lab information management systems (LIMS) side, I lead the teams that creates and maintain a world-class, proprietary LIMS that is the foundation of how we deliver diagnostic results to the largest veterinary customer base in the world.

Lead international finance team supporting the majority of IDEXX lines of business including the largest veterinary reference laboratory network in the world, the largest veterinary rapid immunoassay business in the world, a leading veterinary bio-analytics business as well as other software and medical consulting businesses. As a key finance business partner for IDEXX my role is to support and challenge our business leaders to accelerate growth and profitability in these highly lucrative markets. IDEXX is an industry leader in veterinary diagnostic technology and our businesses are growing rapidly as we leverage industry-leading innovation and highly effective commercial strategies.

Responsibilities have included leading a team of more than 75 finance professionals around the world who are responsible for product line, sales & marketing and regional financial support including all FP&A. I developed a comprehensive forecast process that has proven very accurate despite our highly cyclical industry.Manage investor relations function including all communications to the investment community, competitive intelligence and peer analysis, ensuring proper valuation, targeting of prospective investors, as well as communicating investor’s expectations within the company and to the board of directors.

Led the majority of the IT organization and was responsible for business systems implementation and support. My teams completed the largest implementations in our company’s history, within budget and on time, by focusing on end user needs and business process rationalization. Our supply chain management implementation of i2 software has been nationally recognized as best in class.

I was responsible for our worldwide purchasing and materials organization which spent over $1 billion annually. Developed commodity team approach to multi-plant negotiations which resulted in significant material cost savings and part number consolidation. I instituted a supplier performance measurement system and our annual supplier awards event which better aligned supplier’s performance to our requirements.

I led our business planning organization that managed production and business planning across our worldwide manufacturing organization. I traveled extensively to the Far East and managed numerous subcontracting relationships in Asia. We developed a number of loading optimization processes that formed the basis of much of our future approach to production planning that we now do through the i2 supply chain management system.

As controller for Logic Division operations, I worked closely with our VP of Worldwide Operations to lead our manufacturing organization. We developed and monitored cost reduction plans, yield improvement efforts, and factory loading for profit optimization procedures.

I developed and supported numerous semiconductor solutions for the Space Shuttle and International Space Station. Duties included sales, technical support and program management.

I managed factories responsible for integrated circuit assembly and test in the U.S. We successfully implemented JIT KANBAN systems that significantly reduced cycle times and WIP. I’m also experienced in Theory of Constraints management of factory production.
