Daniel Ji is a Senior Associate in Goodwin's Investment Management / Private Funds regulatory practice group, where he counsels registered and reporting investment advisers regarding matters under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (the "Advisers Act"). Previously, Mr. Ji was a Senior Counsel in the Investment Adviser / Investment Company ("IA/IC") program at the Division of Examinations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). Specifically, Mr. Ji examined investment advisers to determine their compliance with federal securities laws, particularly the Advisers Act. Prior to his tenure at the SEC, Mr. Ji practiced in the areas of regulatory and corporate law at an international AmLaw 100 firm. Mr. Ji is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, Cum Laude, and a graduate of Emory University. He is fluent in Korean.Licensed in Maryland / District of Columbia.
