During my job at Optimentor I was involved in a range of different work areas, e.g. sales support as well as planning, production and maintenance of software solutions. I was responsible for developing and maintaining a vast range of solutions and add-ins for most products in the Microsoft Office suite. This involved communicating with customers on a regular basis – both for requirements elicitation and specification for new solutions or updates as well as technical support. Technical support could be for problems within Office and outside – in essence, analyzing technical challenges and either offering solutions or proposed steps for further analysis.I developed and maintained a series of standard products. Just to name a few:* EasyBrand: Document management and productivity tool for Microsoft Office. Helps users create dynamic Word templates which increases the organization's capacity for developing smart templates themselves. This ultimately empowers selected people in the organization and improves the general efficiency of users.* DocumentValidator: VBA- and XML-based validation tool used to check whether Word documents comply with the company's document requirements. This utilized a series of techniques to properly test for errors and help the user correct them.
