In my time as a cover supervisor I have also worked in a pastoral role with children with complex needs making sure they get the correct care and attention required to ensure they succeed with their secondary education.

Working in varied environments no two days were the same, working with different children meaning having to think on the spot to adapt to ever changing situations that would arise.

Working in close knit teams to travel around North Wales to deliver Covid tests to everyone during the International Pandemic. Ensuring tests were delivered in a fast and efficient manner, and sent to the relevant testing laboratories to ensure that people received their test results in a timely fashion. During my time I was promoted to the role supervisor which meant increased responsibility and looking after a team of 6 people as well as the daily running of the mobile sites.

The venture centre offered me an experience of being able to work and gain qualifications in the outdoor world. During my time i was able to gain my RYA Powerboat License Level 2 and work towards my Canoeing and Kayaking 2* qualifications as well as many in house training for ropes. Unfortunately due to the Global Pandemic COVID my time at the Venture Centre was cut short.

My apprenticeship in Outdoor education gave me a lot of skills that I have used to develop myself and my approach to helping others. Whilst studying alongside working, i was able to experience full time leadership with taking groups for activities, as well as teaching them how to develop themselves and get the best put of that activity. My apprenticeship allowed me to gain qualifications in outdoor leadership and sports science.

During initial training I was instilled with core values of the British Army which i have tried to conduct myself in a manner similar to the standards set by them to achieve goals in my Civilian life. Whilst i did not gain any formal qualifications from my time in the Army, i did gain a lot of experience, and challenged myself beyond a point i once thought possible. Due to an unfortunate injury my time in the Armed Forces was cut short.
