CurrentCentral Tri-State Tollway – Ogden Ave to I-88 – Illinois TollwayDan is serving as a transportation and structural project engineer for the Central Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Design Section from Ogden Ave to I-88. Dan’s responsibilities include geometric design of overhead sign structure foundations and barrier transitions, and 2-D and 3-D modeling of overhead sign structure trusses for ITS devices. Dan is responsible for coordinating design changes with other consultants and the owner. Central Tri-State Tollway Design Corridor Management – Illinois TollwayDan is serving as a project engineer as a part of the Central Tri-State Tollway Design Corridor Management team. Dan’s current responsibilities include providing maintenance of traffic plan reviews and constructability reviews for design sections throughout the Central Tri-State corridor. Dan’s constructability reviews draw from his previous Phase III experience, and have proven to be a valuable asset to the corridor. Dan’s previous support for the design corridor management team included plan development for a corridor long “clean and televise drainage system” contract, and IDOT Letter of Authority and Highway Permit coordination.Tollway Central Administration Building Parking Lot Improvement – Illinois TollwayDan served as the Resident Engineer for the $2 million east parking lot improvement project at the Illinois Tollway Central Administration Building. Systemwide Fencing and Site Improvements – Illinois TollwayDan served as the Resident Engineer for three concurrent systemwide fencing and site improvement projects. The combined value of the contracts was $5 million. Clean and Televise Drainage System, I-88 – Illinois TollwayDan served as the Resident Engineer responsible for management of field staff, and coordination between the Contractor and ISTHA, for the $1.3 million cleaning and televising drainage system Contract along I-88.
