My love affair with engineering started where I'm sure it did for many other kids in the playful world of Lego. It was either engineering or game-ranging for me at that age.During high-school, I got a taste for what the world of tertiary education would be like when I, along with Mishay Naidoo and Gus Naidoo assisted the University of KwaZulu-Natal with their research into the feasibility of using simulation to prototype grinding mills. On this project I gained valuable experience with using CAD and physics engines.I have completed my undergraduate degree University of Cape Town studying Mechatronic Engineering with a cumulative GPA of 81%.During my studies, myself and two other colleagues worked together as Rowdy Chess to develop an automated chessboard capable of moving pieces on its own following a player's voice command. Our creation landed us in the finals of the Pitch UCT. We are currently working on a second iteration of the chessboard now.I am motivated by engineering's ability to uplift our world, and thus hope one day to apply my understanding of robotics to conservation and preserving our planet and the wildlife that lives on it.
