Currently workshop supervisor of TIP rugbys branch where we are a VMU for Eddie Stobart. I oversee and supervise day to day workshop operations as-well as undertake tasks myself such as preparing vehicles for MOT, diagnostic work mainly involving ABS/EBS problems and general fabrication work. Also in charge of making sure the workshop is running to company standard following company H&S guidelines and housekeeping standards.

At paradigm I was part of a 2 man team to build up and establish an in-house maintenance firm for the Acumen group. Jobs included basic onsite defect repairs and diagnostics, roadside breakdowns also on-site trailer inspections and repairs to a high standard. Jobs also included carrying out basic maintenance as well as structural maintenance and upkeep of different makes of car transporters. All of which had to meet customers demand and deadlines and to be made sure work was carried out in a quick cost efficient but safe manor. Other tasks included arranging with customer and planning in work also keeping up to date with job sheets for compliance purposes. Other tasks seen sorting out parts etc with suppliers. Tasks also seen me attend weekly compliance meetings discuss a variety of things such as scheduling, current upkeep of the vehicles and health and safety and how we could potentially improve be that in the workshop or on-site/roadside.

Part of a small however strong team working mainly as a mobile technician attending various customer sites carrying out a variety of different tasks In a safe constructive manor adhering to site rules. Jobs including carrying out onsite inspections on a variety of trucks and trailers maintaining vehicles to a high standard. Other jobs include diagnostic and repairs on different makes of vehicle, also attending roadside breakdowns and conducting work in a quick and safe manor. I would often attend vehicles on sites to carry out loler inspections and repairs to a high standard in a variety on different makes styles of tail lifts be that column lift, retractable lifts, cantilever lifts and tuck away lifts. When in workshop mainly carrying out MOT inspections and preparation.

I started working at keltruck in July of 2016 after being offered an apprenticeship after a 2 week work experience. During my time at keltruck I have worked as part of a small team to help service and maintain fleets of vehicles to dealership standards for top haulage companies such as Eddie Stobart and large supermarkets such as Asda as well as tipper haulage companies. Also during my time I have worked as part of a 4 man team at keltruck Lutterworth vmu where during my time I had took part in servicing and maintaining and repairing trailers for Asda which seen me work on different makes of trailers such as Schmitz, cartwright’s, tiger and don burr. During this time I have seen and had experience working on different makes of axles such as BPW, SAF and ROR. Both positions have seen me working on fleets of trucks and trailers carrying out service and repairs and MOT preparations all of which were met to standard times. I also for a short time worked on what is called the Asda defect clinic where I would be based on site up as Asda carrying out repairs on a fleet of trucks and trailers as well as repairs on tail lifts and moving decks. As well as working on site I also take part in roadside assistance and breakdowns.
