As an educational specialist I have developed a variety of trainings and coaching supports for teachers, leaders and districts in making the shift from time based systems to those that are driven by personalized learning. Over the past several years I have found myself in front of many educators who share a passion and desire to transform educational systems. My goal is to give them the knowledge, tools and understanding to bring the level of change required for all students to be successful. Understanding the arenas of public will, policy and practice needed for sustained growth and progress.I have supported districts in developing strategic plans to support the transformation from time based to competency based systems of teaching and learning. Included in these plans are defining the “what, why and how” of the change. Communicating with all shareholders and support them in developing monitors and measures for continuous improvement and sustainable change. I have trained teachers and staff in the core tenets of the personalized learning: shared vision, leadership, personal mastery and continuous improvement. There are a number of training's that are offered to districts as they build their capacity and sustainability for continued the growth and achievement of all students. These trainings start with building a shared vision and build beyond culture and into instructional strategies. The progression of trainings address the culture and content of competency based educational systems reform at both the macro and micro levels. Coaching is one part of the services I have been able to provide for schools and teachers. In the form of leadership coaching for building based leaders as well as implementation coaching for classroom instructors. Whether training an entire auditorium or a one on one coaching visit. I believe transformational change occurs at all levels of the organization. Building learning communities for students.
