My role with SAFER Systems has included implementation, management and support of all IT infrastructure and information systems utilized by the various company locations along with many sister companies, located around the United States.Responsibilities include server and network administration along with administration of Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File/Print Services, SharePoint, SQL Server, Team Foundation Server, and many other supporting systems and services. This effort supported standardization of controls related to IT, along with supporting the efforts of the business in achieving SOC 2 Type I compliance in 2018 and SOC 2 Type II compliance in 2019.

As Marketing Specialist, I performed graphic design and document layout related duties, interfacing with sales and engineering as needed, when creating both sales/marketing and technical collateral.I coordinated with a variety of stakeholders and vendors to replace and modernize the company’s corporate website, implementing modern design, lead capture systems, and Google Analytics and Adwords integration.Over time, while fulfilling my duties in this position, I began to offer my expertise and abilities to support the growing IT needs of the company prior to the point when an IT department existed. Eventually, this lead to a transition into the newly created position of Technology Specialist.
