I recently was a volunteer / placement student in ( Sandwell & Walsall ) as an adviser from my university. I was there for over 28 months as I managed to secure a volunteering role off my own back before gaining a placement with my university back in July 2020. I am qualified adviser since ( October2021 ). I enjoy helping clients with their needs and achieving goals each day i work. This has lead me to become a permanent member of staff at CA from April 2022.

For a period of 6 months. I worked for a carphone warehouse and I was part of their sales and promotional team where I would promote new technology based items from different. My main role was sale of phone contracts and accessories where customers could have new accessories fitted to their mobile devices if accessories were brought from the store from a new headset. From my time at the company I learnt how to interact with customers which built my confidence up, but also how to work in a team and how a store achieves their aims and objectives.

At Staffordshire Builders suppliers LTD I was part of the administration team specifically the marketing campaign for the company, I was fortunate enough to hold a 9 month contract with the company. Here I was in charge of promoting the business on different social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and also the company’s trading website in which new customers and current trade could get in contact the company. My role was to give a platform to the company and bring in new clientele which I did by constantly promoting the company through online campaigns about the latest stock and more for customers to see. I was part of the research and campaign for the audit of the company. As well as advertising and branching out the company, my role consisted also of every day admin such as answering the phone to trade and the public. And also helping out in the back of the stores when needed.

I was fortunate to secure a work placement at the magistrate’s court in 2018, as a trainee legal advisor. During the placement, I developed my teamwork and leadership skills. My role involved being in charge of the cell call ups and ensuring that people understood what the magistrates had directed, confirming that they were aware of what action they needed to take. I also assisted in the in the probation department, dealing with the rehabilitation of offenders. The two weeks I was there I was able to gain valuable experience working shadowing the legal advisors who guided me on their roles and responsibilities and how they advise on the course of action they present to the magistrates. This enabled me to observe the confidential conversations held between the legal advisor and the magistrate.

My work experience placement at this organisation was office based, predominantly in the finance department. I was able to see first-hand how money gets transferred to other companies and how a company buys and sells products abroad. This enabled me to gain an understanding of how accounting systems work. It was my responsibility to accurately record financial transactions such as the paying of bills and credit payments received from other organisations. I was then tasked to record this information in various spreadsheets. This experience enabled me to develop my mathematical skills, accuracy when recording information and my organisational skills.
