Prepare interrogatory letters, letters of proposed action, advisory letters, official decisions to applicants, employees and contractors.Review, assess, and analyze information from various sources and make determination on national security clearance for employees or other persons for access to sensitive information, resources, material, or work sites. Lead or participate in training session, meetings and working groups. Training employees on the processes and duties of a Security Specialist which includes the introduction of appropriate regulations and guidelines to employees, establishing and maintaining training plans and procedures for the PSD, conferring with the PSD management on the performance and progress of Security Specialists, identifying and recommending training topics for the PSD, developing, implementing, and managing individual tracking systems and processes for monitoring and managing security caseloads, and reviewing suitability and security recommendations made by Security Specialists.

Ensure that the appropriate processing and record keeping related to personnel security cases/investigations are followed. Communicate with applicants, employees, and contractors on issues pertaining to personnel security. Obtain sufficient evidence to support entry on duty and fitness determinations; reviews each case for potential reciprocity. Prepare detailed written adjudicative worksheets outlining suitability/fitness findings while ensuring compliance with Federal, DHS, and ICE policies and procedures. Provide assistance to supervisors, trainers, and other employees on personnel management and interpretations of applicable laws, regulations, executive orders, policies, and decisions. Prepare Letters of Interrogatory, Notices of Proposed Action, Notice of Determinations, Letters of Advisement, and official decisions to applicants, employees and contractors.
