System / Network Administrator

• Select, manage and source information resources, both hard copy and electronic, to meet your employer's or client's needs • Support and contribute to IT-related tasks or projects through the implementation of appropriate technologies and solutions • Classify, collate and store information, usually using special computer applications, for easy access and retrieval • Create and search databases through Database administration • Manage support services for the Organization’s IT systems, platforms, and products; including management of IT support technician(s), communicating job expectations, and appraising performance as appropriate. • Configure Network appropriately to make sure it is on 24/7 to enable efficiency amongst end users. • Develop and manage electronic resources using, for example, online databases and content management systems. • Develop and manage internal information resources and networks via intranet sites. • Oversee the development of new information systems. • Respond to enquirers' requests using electronic and printed resources. • Run effective enquiry and current awareness or 'alerting' services and develop communications strategies • Provide training and advice to colleagues, and sometimes clients, on the use of electronic information services. • Manage the overall technology infrastructure for the Organization including planning, implementation, and management of the software applications and hardware infrastructure that support operations, liaising as relevant with technology service providers. • Support the procurement process for IT equipment and services. • Undertake such other duties as may be requested by the ICT Business Partner to support delivery of the ICT strategy and the Organization’s business plan.
