As a 3rd year Mechatronics Engineering student at the University of Waterloo, I am passionate about designing, creating, and testing innovative solutions for the mobility and automation sectors. I am currently a Server Cluster Member at WATonomous, a student design team that builds autonomous self-driving vehicles and competes in international challenges. In this role, I apply my skills in Python, Java, and REST to automate and optimize the cloud-based server infrastructure that supports the vehicle's neural networks and data processing.Previously, I was an Automation Engineering Intern at Volanté Systems, an enterprise point-of-sale company that develops cutting-edge hospitality technology. There, I automated REST API requests using Java and libraries such as REST-Assured and Cucumber, which improved regression time by 93%. I also gained valuable experience in the software development cycle and worked in an agile team of software developers, quality assurance engineers, product owners, and designers.I am a respectful and considerate individual who values people's opinions and listens actively to their input. I enjoy collaborating with others and helping them achieve their goals, as well as tackling challenging problems and persevering until I find a solution. I also love instructing and sharing my knowledge, which is why I have obtained certifications in First Aid and Water Safety from the Canadian Red Cross. Additionally, I am fluent in Korean and English, and have received multiple honors for my academic performance and musical talent.I am always eager to learn new skills, explore new domains, and take on new opportunities. I am looking for roles that allow me to apply my engineering and automation skills to real-world problems, and to contribute to the advancement of the mobility and automation industries.
