Dr. Daniel Katz has a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley California. He completed his professional internship at the Pennsylvania State University’s Counseling and Psychological Services. He is experienced working in a variety of settings including college counseling, forensics, crisis, alcohol and drug rehabilitation, community mental health, psychiatric hospitalization, career counseling, and psychological assessment. Dr. Katz has facilitated general process and support groups as well as groups with a more specific focus or population such as grief and loss, LGBTQIA support, adolescent boys, addiction and recovery, and incarcerated men. He has also given talks and presentations and workshops on a variety of topics including, healthy relationships, mindfulness, resilience factors among college students, and grief and loss. He is experienced and comfortable working in a variety of roles including, therapy, counseling, coaching, research, psychological assessment, professional consultation, and supervision.Dr. Katz provides individual and couples therapy, counseling, and consultation to adults and adolescents in his private practice. He is also employed as a post-doctoral resident at Sam Houston State University Counseling Center.
