R. Daniel Kelemen (Ph.D, Stanford University) is McCourt Chair at the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University. He was previously Professor of Political Science and Law at Rutgers University, where he has also served as Chair of the Department of Political Science, Director of the Center for European Studies, and held the Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Politics. Prior to Rutgers, Dr. Kelemen held a tenured position at Oxford University, and he has held visiting positions at the Institute for Advanced Study, the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels and the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. Dr. Kelemen is author or editor of six books on European Union politics, as well as more than 100 book chapters and articles. Dr. Kelemen's research and consulting focuses on the politics, public policy, and law and regulation in the EU. He comments on EU politics regularly on television and radio, and has done briefings on EU politics issues for the US Congress, the US State Department, the European Commission and the Council of Ministers of the EU.
