I am currently employed as a Communications Consultant in the Ministry of Trade and Export Development within the Government of Saskatchewan. In this role I work closely with stakeholders both within and outside of government to promote economic growth within Saskatchewan. I am also involved with the government's efforts to promote Indigenous economic development within the province.My previous role as an English100 instructor at the University of Regina allowed me to explore my love for literature and share this passion with my students. During my time at the university, I also assisted Dr. Jason Demers in researching an Indigenous activist group that was active within Canadian penitentiaries in the latter half of the 20th century. Before joining the university, I served as Marketing, Publicity and Sponsorship Liaison at On Cue Performance Hub. Here I was responsible for strategizing and implementing social media marketing campaigns for performing arts events. I was also tasked with securing sponsorships for the organization. On Cue Performance Hub provides financial, logistical, and marketing support to those working in the performing arts community in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Preceding my time at On Cue Performance Hub, I was employed as a senior copywriter at Hamiltons Advertising in Cape Town, South Africa, between 2007 and 2021. In this position, I did extensive work on the Food Lover's Market and FreshStop accounts and helped to build these brands into some of the leading names in South African food retail.In 2023, I completed my MA in Creative Writing program at the University of Regina.
